Who I AmWelcome to my corner of the web. I am an English teacher, freelance writer, small business owner, and a home schooling parent. (To be fair, my wife does most of the homeschooling.) And I am also a trail runner. Not an ultra runner, or even a marathoner, just a run-of-the-mill, 5 miles in the woods on a Saturday kind of runner.
Where I Am From
I was born and raised in New England and graduated from Assumption College with a dual major in Classics & English and a concentration in Education. I still live here in New England. (My family roots go back over 300 years here, so I am pretty sure that means I can't leave.)
My Writing
I have been writing on line for over ten years with pieces published on such sites as Yahoo!, Livestrong, Race42012, Suite101, among others. I created Reader Writer Runner as a kind of home base for my work. In addition to my writing here, which consists of book reviews and longer form essays, my writing can be found in a couple other places. Quality Resumes, a career development blog and resume writing service, and A New England Runner, where I try to keep myself honest by blogging through my running routine.
